There are several issue which must be considered when evaluating the proposed petrochemical plant. Reactions by the citizens and governments of this region will vary depending on their vested interests, their knowledge of past events and “promises” made, as well as their knowledge of due processes involved with project proposals of such magnitude. This early in the process, there are known as well as unknown impacts on citizens, the environment and the economy of this City, surrounding region, the province of BC as well as Canada.
The decision making process can be very complex, but for those who are proposing the project, the City of Prince George, as well as the Regional District of Fraser Fort George and the BC Government’s authorities having jurisdiction, the process should be quite clear.
